Focus Publishing cannot guarantee the availability of the films featured in any of the books in our Cinema for Language Conversation series. Every effort has been made to include films that are readily available, but movie distribution and rights are always changing. We hop that the following guide and links below will help you track down the movies, so you can begin using the texts along with the movies, as innovative teaching tools.
Depending on your
preference either to buy or to rent, you will find these sources a
good jumping-off point.
What other options do I have? Specialized language distributors are a great resource for purchases. They also attend most of the Foreign Language Conventions offered around the country.
What if I can’t find some movies, or what if I’ve discovered that they are out of print? If you’re still having trouble, Focus authors and customers have found the best way to find hard-to-get foreign films is to search a used marketplace online.
What if it’s not in my budget to purchase the films? If buying any or all of the films featured in these textbooks is not in the budget for you or your school, and your school’s library does not carry them, you may consider the following rent-by mail services:

Sometimes in locating a particular version of a film, you will need locate the movie by the English translated title, or include the year of release. Where possible, a link has been provided so you can purchase the title directly through Amazon.com. What is in bold is the hotlink.
